Will windows 7 pro upgrade to windows 10 pro?

You do not have to downgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 10 Pro as you were using Windows 7 Pro, it will be upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. Activation may take sometime as told be David. You just have to wait for it get activated. Refer the links below.

When you install Windows 10 Your current Windows 7 Pro will be moved to a new folder called ‘Windows old‘. When you are happy with Windows 10 you can just delete the ‘Windows old’ folder. You can of course revert back to your old operating system if you so wish, but I cannot see any reason why you would want to as win 10 is a much superior system.

You can talk to Microsoft if you want to, but I caution you that they will undoubtedly say that you have to upgrade to 10. A Microsoft representative will say that because he works for Microsoft. Again, upgrading is a choice, but not a requirement.

It also does not mean you have to replace the computers. In all probability you can upgrade them to Windows 10, but you don’ t have to do that either.
