You do not have to downgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 10 Pro as you were using Windows 7 Pro, it will be upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. Activation may take sometime as told be David. You just have to wait for it get activated. Refer the links below.

Yet another question we ran across in our research was “What happens to my Windows 7 Pro when I install Windows 10?”.
When you install Windows 10 Your current Windows 7 Pro will be moved to a new folder called ‘Windows old‘. When you are happy with Windows 10 you can just delete the ‘Windows old’ folder. You can of course revert back to your old operating system if you so wish, but I cannot see any reason why you would want to as win 10 is a much superior system.
Can I upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10?
I was allowed to upgrade to windows 10 as one of Microsoft’s options for Windows 7 users. The upgrade went well. Later a SP was initiated and my workstation crashed. My only option was to go back to Windows 7 which my machine is currently at.
You can talk to Microsoft if you want to, but I caution you that they will undoubtedly say that you have to upgrade to 10. A Microsoft representative will say that because he works for Microsoft. Again, upgrading is a choice, but not a requirement.

That’s true–Windows 7 will no longer be supported in Jan 2020. However that does *not* mean that you can no longer use it. It means that Microsoft will stop issuing updates to it. It also does not mean you have to replace the computers. In all probability you can upgrade them to Windows 10, but you don’ t have to do that either.
