If you signed in to an account (work, school, or personal Microsoft account) from a private browser window, any searches you made will be associated with that account. Bing stores and uses your search history to personalize your results. And clearing the history in your web browser doesn’t touch the history stored on Bing itself, which likely comes from multiple devices you use. You can clear that history, though.

One source stated that the best authority on the duration of search history I found was MSN Tech and this stated that the search history as retained for 28 days. However, if you log in to Bing with a Microsoft ID the search history duration is extended.

Microsoft does not store any data on Bing’s servers that comes in through Geo, and flow. We use Bing maps simply to plot the locations on in the map. The only data that is transferred is the location data – no customer data comes across. There is no need to worry about your customer data.
