Where are google pixel phones made?

Google designs the latest Pixel and has the phone manufactured in China. When these phones are shipped into the U. S, Google is forced to pay the import tax. The company could decide to eat the additional cost itself or pass the increase on to consumers in the form of higher prices.

You could be asking “Where are the Google Pixel phones made?”

Here is what I found. most of the US-bound hardware that is normally made in China, is now going to be made in Vietnam. That isn’t limited to just Pixel smartphones either. It also includes smart speakers in the Google Nest Home lineup.

One way to think about this is pixel smartphones are manufactured by HTC in Taiwan.

When did the first Google Pixel phone come out?

Google announced the first generation Pixel smartphones, the Pixel and the Pixel XL, on October 4, 2016 during the #Made, by, and google event.

Will Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro be made in China?

The report suggests that the Pixel 5 was supposed to be manufactured in Vietnam, but the plan couldn’t succeed due to travel restrictions and “limited engineering resources” in Vietnam. Could the next Google Pixel be “made in Vietnam”?

This very well could mean that your next Google Pixel – perhaps the Pixel 4 – could say “Made in Vietnam” instead of “Made in China” on the back. Google is also going to be shifting some of its Pixel 3a production out of China to Vietnam before the end of the year.

The Pixel 4 being made in Vietnam versus being made in China is really not that big of a deal. But those that want to see Google moving its production out of China, this is going to be good news for them. Seeing as we all know that China uses child labor for making many of these smartphones, though it’s likely that Vietnam could as well.

Google is working to move the production of its Pixel smartphones from China to Vietnam as the company seeks to avoid higher Chinese manufacturing costs as well as the looming concern of Trump-issued tariffs on Chinese goods that would raise prices on its phones, according to a report from Nikkei. This isn’t Google’s first move out of China.
