How to change background in google meet?

If your browser doesn’t support it, you will have to enable hardware acceleration, as shown below. For Google Meet’s background blur function to show up and work properly, hardware acceleration should be enabled in Chrome settings. Note: The background blur works for both personal and G Suite accounts.

Note: People who join the video meeting and are not signed in to a Google Account, as well as those who need to ask to get admitted, can only change their background after the meeting starts. If you have Google Workspace for Education, you can’t upload custom background images.
