Google Drive does not reduce your video quality after uploading. Lower quality video is your option from the Storage saver plan. When you upload a video or photo to Google Drive, it gives you 2 options to store those data, Original qualityand Storage saver.
This of course begs the question “Does google drive keep photo quality?”
The unlimited storage is available for all Google Photos users, but the free tier only uploads the Google photos with compression as High Quality. When you use the Original Quality, you can save all the photos and videos in the same quality as the original files.
From experience, Google Drive does not change the quality of videos or photos. If you upload to Google Photos, there’s a choice to upload in original or high quality. The former will count towards storage use. The latter will not. However there’s a slight decrease in quality.
