Does google earth vr support oculus quest 2?

No, Quest (1 or 2) does not have enough processing power to run Google Earth VR standalone. It does run it well if you use Link and have a good gaming PC. 9 9900k, rtx3090, 32 Gb ram, 1tb ssd, 4tb hdd. Xi hero wifi mb, 750w psu, Q2 w/Air Link, Vive Pro.

The most usefull answer is: google Earth on Steam. VR works great on my Oculus Quest 2, connected wirelessly via the Virtual Desktop / Sidequest solution. No link cable is needed. As with games like Half Life: Alyx, wireless now seems to perform better than using a link cable (assuming you PC has the power, and you have 5Ghz Wi. Fi).

Why doesn’t Google make a quest version of Google Earth?

So even if the Quest 2 could run it (it could, at least at lower quality terrain detail, if Google put some effort into optimising), Google wouldn’t be interested in making a Quest version. They never even made a version for their own Daydream platform.

Google Earth has been running on smart phones for at least the past 10 years.
