How does the Azure DevOps connector work with JIRA align?
Previously, the connector would set the sprint in Azure Dev. Ops to the first ADO sprint that matches the Jira Align sprint (plus buffer days). This was inconvenient for teams who used different cadences because Azure Dev. Ops sprints changed when an edit to a different field happened in Jira Align.
Another thing we wondered was; why are my points not syncing in Jira align?
If Jira Align is using an estimation system not based on points, such as t-shirt size or team weeks, those fields will not be updated or converted during sync. Changes made to points in Jira Align will not sync back to Jira.
The decision to anchor in Jira was an intentional one, given its role around agile and the inherent alignment with the Jira customer base. We’re putting Jira at the center of teamwork, and positioning Jira Align as the de-facto solution for our largest customers to scale their agile success.
How does the Jira align T-shirt size change work?
The t-shirt size is updated in the Align database to small. When the new Jira Align feature is updated – by editing another field – it is added to the sync queue. The correct conversion from 20 points, a small t-shirt size, is synced back to Jira software, overwriting the original value of x-small.
Are advanced roadmaps integrated with JIRA align?
Customers who begin using Advanced Roadmaps can expect a very familiar end-user experience. Jira Align is a separately managed solution that is cloud-based. It will begin to feel more familiar to the Atlassian portfolio as integration into the product portfolio continues. Today, Advanced Roadmaps are not integrated with Jira Align.
