Xero Payroll calculates superannuation accrual based on ATO guidelines. As each business situation differs, the default setting is no superannuation calculated on leave loading amounts included in a pay run. A question we ran across in our research was “What is leave loading in Xero?”.
In Xero, leave loading is paid to eligible employees (those who have had the box ticked in their Taxes tab) by simply increasing the pay rate of annual leave paid by the percentage given in the payroll settings. (I know it can be a separate item in other accounting packages).
Why isn’t my leave loading calculating?
When leave loading has been set up correctly, there won’t be a separate line in the pay run. Instead, the hourly rate on the leave line will be higher to include the leave loading percentage. I xeroform is a sterile wound dressing that is non-adherent, which means it won’t stick to the wound so dressing changes are less painful and trauma to the wound is minimized. Xeroform is also an occlusive dressing which means the dressing prevents air from reaching the wound.

The utility of Xeroform®in burn medicine may relate more to use as an impervious dressing than to antimicrobial effect. Donor sites are clean surgical wounds and clean partial thickness burns may have minimal colonization present. In such circumstances, an inactive and impervious dressing may be all that is necessary to promote wound healing.
How do you calculate penalty rates in Xero?
Xero will calculate it for you based on his ordinary earnings (however if you have set up his pay template will other penalty rates – it will ONLY calculate his ordinary hours).
