You have to simulate the effects of a “battery pull” in order do this. Simply press and hold the Power button for about 10 seconds. Afterwards, wait for your phone to complete the reboot sequence and see what happens. There are some cases where a Pixel may fail to charge properly or at all due to an issue with the charging port.
