, and if scholar ., and google. Com is down for us too there is nothing you can do except waiting. Probably the server is overloaded, down or unreachable because of a network problem, outage or a website maintenance is in progress If the site is UP but you cant access the page, try one of the below solutions: Force a full refresh for the site.
When trying to access Google Scholar, you may sometimes run into the following error: “ERROR for site owner: Invalid domain for site key.” This can happen when too many people are accessing Google Scholar through our proxy server.
Another query we ran across in our research was “Why can’t I Find my bibliographic data in Google Scholar?”.
If the bibliographic data listed in Google Scholar is mostly correct, but you still can’t find many of your papers there, then it could be a problem with the crawl. Check that your website allows indexing by Google search robots.
Another thing we asked ourselves was why google scholar not showing citations?
It is possible that citations to your work are not recognized by Google Scholar because of errors in (or incompleteness of) the reference string. Such ‘stray’ citations can be corrected, see Anne-Wil Harzing’s guide to correcting stray citations in Google Scholar. Note that the same problem occurs in all citation databases to some extent.
But as is the case with majority services, feature/functionalities do get off track every now and then, and Google Scholar is no exception to it. I recently stumbled upon some complaints from Google Scholar users who have been encountering error 403 while downloading or exporting citations.
So far, there is no way to add missing citations manually. Google Scholar does not index some journals. If one of your articles were cited by a journal article that Google Scholar does not index, the citation would not appear in your google scholar account.
What is Google Scholar and how does it work?
From keeping a track of who all have cited your research work, to downloading citations in different formats like Bib, te X and End. Note or different styles like APA and MLA, Google Scholar does it all effortlessly.
This is what we learned. google Scholar cannot review the integrity or the quality of the data going into its pipeline. As with the rest of the web, you are working with whatever data Google’s spiders can glean. Often, that data has errors. Papers will have garbled titles.
What to do if paper B is not in Google Scholar?
If Paper B cant be found in Google scholar you can hope that the author of paper B will upload it somewhere that google scholar will eventually pick up. Unfortunately in many cases Paper B is already in Google scholar but the citation still doesnt go to your paper.
Is it possible to report errors in Google Scholar?
Unfortunately in many cases Paper B is already in Google scholar but the citation still doesnt go to your paper. In such cases not sure what you can do as i suspect reporting individual errors will be ignored by google.
One answer is, you can change the articles in your profile, but citations to them are computed and updated automatically as we update Google Scholar. To change the “Cited by” counts in your profile, you would need to have them updated in Google Scholar.
