Yammer live event. To view your event directly inside of Yammer, create the live event from an Office 365 Group connected Yammer group inside of Yammer. As a Yammer group admin, select Group Actions > Create a Live Event. This will open Teams. Fill out the Title, Date, and Time.
A live event in Yammer includes a live video and a Yammer discussion, so that you can post questions or comments before, during, or after the event. Go to the Yammer group where the event is occurring, and under Group Events, select the event to go to the event page. This is what you will see in Yammer (web and mobile):.
Another thing we wondered was; how do I set up live events in Yammer for Office 365?
One idea is that to begin using Live Events in Yammer, your organization will need Office 365, with active deployment of Yammer, Microsoft Teams and Stream. To enable the solution, you will need to have Microsoft 365 Groups enabled and Office 365 identity enforced.
Another question we ran across in our research was “What are the requirements to attend a Yammer event?”.
Requirements for live event attendees Everyone who attends a Yammer live event must have an Office 365 subscription that includes a license for Yammer (Office 365 A3, A5, F1, E1, E3, or E5). Only members of your Yammer network can attend live events. For live events in public groups, all members of your Yammer network can attend.
One frequent answer is, The attendees can watch the live or recorded event in Yammer, Teams, and/or Stream, and can interact with the presenters using moderated Q & A or a Yammer conversation. Teams live events are considered the next version of Skype Meeting Broadcast and will eventually replace the capabilities provided in Skype Meeting Broadcast.
Do I need a Yammer license to host a live event?
Yes, both are required. Yammer has partnered with both Teams and Stream to provide the best technology for running your live event. Because of this, creation and production of webinar style live events require Stream and Teams licenses and specific permissions.
How do I share an attendee link in Yammer?
This takes you right to the event in Yammer. Invite others to attend your live event by sharing the attendee link. From within the event page in Yammer, select Share and copy the link. Share the links to Yammer, Teams, Stream, calendar invites, and Outlook—wherever people in your organization are likely to see them.
What would you like to see in a Yammer group?
We would love to have an intuitive calendar of events embedded in the right hand column of a Yammer Group. Group Owners could use it to announce major global events, or system downtime, holidays etc Jul 10 2019 09:08 AM.
The main benefit of this feature is that all attendees can view a Teams-produced event in Yammer. We’ve worked with Teams and Stream to make this available for our Yammer customers. Now, event organizers can schedule their event in Yammer, produce it using Teams, but view it in Yammer.
