Office 365 does not come as a lifetime subscription – that is a Scam! Office 2016, similar to previous versions of Office – you purchase Office 2016 with a once off payment and you own it. This begs the query “Is it worth it to buy Office 365 one-time only?”
And yes, you do miss out on significant features like the Office 365 ecosystem (One. Drive, etc.) if you buy the one-time only option. And yes again, you’re stuck with that version and when the next release comes out, you’ll have to buy it again.
If you are in charge of purchasing for a business, or responsible for influencing purchasing, then yes it is worth the money. Uses Office intensively and teaches Office to users. MS Office 365 is expired on my laptop, which I purchased last week. It is asking for subscription.
