Then, does anyone actually use Bing?

Does Microsoft own Bing?
Edit: Just noticed Microsoft also owns Bing. Co. in (originally registered in 2008, updated March 2009). Click to expand Yes, I noticed that too. They do the same with Bing., and ca, bing. Co. uk, Bing., and com. Mx etc .
It was originally registered in July 2005, but I doubt Microsoft decided on the name Bing as far back as that. The whois was updated in March 2009 so who knows If the answer is yes, the big question is how much do you think they paid for it!?

This of course begs the question “What is the new name of Bing search engine?”
Our best answer is microsoft is officially rebranding its Bing search engine as ‘Microsoft Bing, ’ unveiling a new logo and new colors. Bing is now known as ‘Microsoft Bing’ after rolling out several changes which include new colors and a new logo.
Another thing we wondered was, is Bing changing its name to Microsoft ads?
Some authors claimed the search engine is still referred to as simply ‘Bing’ in some places throughout the web, and the logo hasn’t been updated everywhere yet. Many expected this change was on the horizon when ‘Bing Ads’ was changed to ‘ Microsoft Ads ’ last year.
Before the launch of Bing, the market share of Microsoft web search pages (MSN and Live search) had been small. By January 2011, Experian Hitwise show that Bing’s market share had increased to 12.8% at the expense of Yahoo! and Google.

Did Bing get a new logo?
Though the Bing blog doesn’t mention this specifically, today’s announcement appears to come with a new logo as well. When you open a new tab with Bing, a new Bing icon appears in the address bar. The same new icon also appears on the Microsoft Bing app on the Google Play Store and the official Microsoft Bing Twitter account.
One of the next things we wanted the answer to was; why bing added microsoft logo?
It’s worth pointing out that Microsoft Edge’s In. Private window feature also uses the term “Microsoft Bing” instead of just ‘Bing’. Why is Microsoft making the change ? A likely explanation is that Microsoft wants to use the name ‘Microsoft’ for services and apps that are available on multiple platforms.
