To create a shared list in Microsoft To-Do:

Click “New list ” in the To-Do sidebar and name your list. Click the person icon in the bottom-right of the list header to open the “List sharing” popup. Send the link which is displayed to people who should join the list.

MS todo is simple, with a clean interface, easy to make new lists, and has just enough features to allow some creative GTD implementations. FInally it’s cross-platform. It’s a great tool. I actually wish i could use it bc it integrates so easily with outlook which i use for both work and personal email.

Microsoft To Do makes it easy to share tasks and lists between devices and other people. But until recently, you couldn’t share lists between personal accounts and work accounts. A recent update to Microsoft To Do brings support for sharing lists between the two types of accounts.

What is a project in GTD?

The term project is a bit ambiguous in GTD. It doesn’t mean it needs to be a formal project. It simply means something needs 2 actions or more. You don’t want to have big fuzzy projects in your system as a single task like “Finish new website”.

There is a huge GTD community out there. There are excellent guides out there but everyone needs to find a personal way of working and system. I decided to set up Getting Things Done (GTD) in Outlook and To-Do after some experimentation.

In other words, is it actionable? If the answer is no, I basically decide if I want to trash it or file (reference) it. Let’s say I bought some tickets for the movies.
