Google Play Points is a program that rewards users for engaging with the Play ecosystem. Selected developers are invited to provide app specific Play Points promotions which provide even greater rewards, increasing user retention and reinvestment of points within their app.

Google Play Points are simply rewards for purchasing content through the Google Play Store. These points can be used to get discounts, purchase in-app items, or for Google Play Credit. It’s free for anyone to sign up for Play Points. At first, you earn 1 point for every $1 you spend.

What are play points and how do they work?

Selected developers are invited to provide app specific Play Points promotions which provide even greater rewards, increasing user retention and reinvestment of points within their app. Users earn points on their purchase with Google Play, including in-app items, movies, books, and more, and by trying featured free apps and games.

At first, you earn 1 point for every $1 you spend. During the first seven days, however, you’ll earn three times more points. If you earn enough points within a calendar year, you can move to the next “level,” which increases how many points you can earn and adds benefits. Google Play Points don’t last forever.

That means the points that all users accumulate and spend in the program are funded by Google. As a participating title, those titles will provide redemption offers (coupons and/or in-app items) users can get in exchange for the points they’ve earned.

What is Google Play Music on Android?

Google Play keeps your music library updated automatically across devices. When you buy a new album on your phone, it’s ready for listening on your tablet. When you upload a song from your computer, it’s there on your phone.

Google Play Music’s search function is still superior to You. Tube Music’s approach. You can start playing songs right from the search results, while you have to tap suggestions on YTM before to listen to them. I also feel like GPM’s search is often more on point for me — YTM tends to recommend mixes and remixes over original songs.
