It’s sadly not possible to import XD files directly into Zeplin just yet. You can only export your designs from the Export menu of Adobe XD. If you’re using the previous legacy plugin, here are a few differences between the previous and new integration to keep in mind:.

Why does ZEPLIN plugin display “your selection contains some artboards over the export limitations?
If your artboard/component is bigger than 16000×16000 pixels, due to the technical limitations on Adobe XD Plugin APIs, Zeplin plugin displays an error : “Your selection contains some artboards over the export limitations”. You need to reduce the size of those artboards/components to export them successfully.

This behavior has an exception for Adobe XD plugin exports. If you have an artboard/component bigger than 8000×8000 pixels, Zeplin exports it as 1x instead of 2x.

Why can’t I publish my design in Adobe XD?
If you’re using the latest version of Adobe XD on Windows, you may experience issues while publishing your designs, such as a missing “export” button or project selection window. In these cases, we recommend that you use the new integration instead.
Also, can I publish my designs from the Adobe XD cloud?
On the legacy plugin, you can only publish designs from locally saved files — not Adobe cloud. With this brand new integration, Zeplin uses Adobe XD Plugin APIs to export data and images out of Adobe XD.
How do I Share my design specs in Jira?
With the Adobe XD for Jira app, designers can easily share their latest prototypes and design specs with other stakeholders in Jira. Log in to your Jira instance as an admin. In the sidebar, click Jira Settings and then choose Apps > Find new apps.
