The Twilio Docs use the same, two-panel style as the Stripe API Reference (which we’re a fan of). However, Twilio’s API documentation feels a little easier on the eyes, with a well-chosen font and bright, contrasting links. It shouldn’t need mentioning that there are plenty of code snippets which you can copy and paste over right away.
This begs the query “Where can I find Twilio’s API reference documentation?”
Twilio has a whole host of APIs, from SMS to Voice to Wireless. You can find Twilio’s API reference documentation throughout our product documentation. You can browse the various APIs here, or jump straight to the API reference for Programmable SMS or Programmable Voice.
How twilio works?
Twilio does the hard work of providing a bridge between the carriers and the internet. Developers can write software that can be deployed where it’s cheap and easy to learn. And Twilio can enable that software to interoperate with the highly specialized carrier ecosystem. But Twilio doesn’t actually live in the gap between the internet and telecom.
The most common answer is; behind these APIs is a software layer connecting and optimizing communications networks around the world to allow your users to call and message anyone, globally. Twilio has a whole host of APIs, from SMS to Voice to Wireless.
