What is Smartsheet used for in Microsoft Teams?

Smartsheet is used to collaborate on project timelines, documents, calendars, tasks, and other works. According to IDG, it is “part office productivity, part project management, part document sharing [it] is trying to be the central hub for how people work .”.

Although it has similarities to more traditional project management apps, Smartsheet is part of a new generation of work management tools that includes the likes of Airtable, Asana, Monday. Com, Workfront, and Wrike. It also faces competition from the big tech players, namely Microsoft and Google, which have similar products.

What is a workspace in smartsheets?

Similar to a folder, a workspace is a place where you can store sheets, reports, dashboards, and templates to keep them organized.

A question we ran across in our research was “How do I create a workspace in Smartsheet?”.

To create a new workspace: Click the Menu icon (upper-left corner of the Smartsheet window) > Browse. Click Create and select Workspace. Enter a name for the workspace and then click OK. The new workspace appears under the Workspaces section of the left panel.
