To delete a payment transaction, use the remove & redo feature in Xero. When you use remove & redo, Xero deletes the payment transaction from the invoice or bill and deletes it from Xero. The bank statement line associated with the payment transaction will remain in the bank account so you can reconcile it with another invoice or bill.
Totally agree that such simple function as unvoid a voided invoice or delete it completely should be available in Xero. If it could be of any help to someone there is a way how to trick excel into thinking it is the same invoice number. (i actually needed same invoice numebring so my excel spreadsheet could vlookup the amounts from Xero exports).
@Nigel, you can delete Draft or Awaiting Approval invoices at the moment, but only Void Approved and Awaiting Payment invoices. In both cases, they won’t be fully removed from Xero – instead they stay on the All tab for audit purposes.
