A Trello Workspace is like a digital office : it’s where collaboration is happening in real time, no matter where your teammates are located. A Trello Workspace brings organization and control to your projects. All boards you create will live inside a Workspace.
Create a new Workspace by clicking the ‘Create’ button in your Trello header, then ‘Create Workspace’. Workspaces can be created for free, or they can be upgraded to one of our paid plans.
What is a workspace in trello?
The concept and functionality of a Workspace is the same as a Trello Team, in that it acts as a container for boards, but the new name does not imply a group of people is required or expected for it. A Workspace can be used to contain boards for vacation planning, freelance work, or any other possible usage that only consists of a single user.
Then, what’s the difference between Trello teams and workspaces?
Trello Teams are now Workspaces. Soon, all boards will be in a Workspace. You might see us mention Teams in a few places as we’re going through these changes. Thanks for your patience! Each Trello Workspace has its own Workspace Overview, which shows you the Workspace’s boards, members, and settings.
How do I access the workspace view in Trello?
Open the left navigation sidebar and select “Workspace table” to access the view while in that Workspace. You can learn more about navigating to the Workspace here : Trello Navigation.
Admin permissions: You must be an admin of a personal board to migrate it to a Workspace. If another user is the admin of a personal board, it would be their responsibility to migrate it. The personal boards section on the Trello Home page. If all boards are already in a Workspace (s), there will be no migration required.
“Edit Workspace details” will only show up if you are an admin of the Workspace, and “Export” and “Billing” only show up if you are an admin of a Workspace with Trello Premium. I f you’re an administrator of a Workspace, you can edit your Workspace’s details by clicking “Edit Workspace details” at the top.
What is a Trello board?
To collaborate with your friends, family, or colleagues across multiple Trello boards, boards are part of a Workspace, formerly called Teams. Some examples could be; a business workspace, a home workspace, or a bookclub workspace.
Another frequently asked question is “Can I create more than one board in Trello?”.
No, all Trello users still have the ability to create an unlimited number of boards for free. However, an additional free Workspace will need to be created for every 10 boards. What is the difference between Teams and Workspaces? The only difference is the name. There is no difference in the functionality of a Team versus a Workspace.
